After having defined in 2017 the design code of new tram stations for Nantes’ network, RCP is now selected to design Nantes’ new generation of tramway.

New design is a big challenge. Nantes, innovative city, is the first one in the mid-eighties to have rehabilitated tramway in its urban area. Now on, Nantes Métropole will to recover the same precursory and innovative feeling, contemporary in its period and aiming to offer an answer to the evolutions of today and tomorrow city practices.

As for the tramway of Tours, RCP will define the interior and exterior design of the future vehicule for the Métropole and the Semitan, respectively urban community of Nantes and company responsible of Nantes’ public transport, process prior to the public tender for the rolling stock’s manufacturer.

The first tram is planned to be put into circulation in 2022.
